The Quotify Advantage

We had a lot of friends who'd renovated their houses, and come out of it with numerous "tales of woe"; about dealing with services providers. Likewise, we have a number of tradesmen mates who always have at least one troublesome client they're currently dealing with.

You only have to ask at your next BBQ, whether anyone has had a bitter experience when trying to deal with a service provider (landscaper, plumber, etc), and you will be inundated with stories like:

  • "It took 9 phone calls before I could get one fencer to come out and quote"
  • "The pest controller never told me I had to remove our dog while he sprayed outside - I had nowhere to put him"
  • "I opened the phone book to find a cleaner - there's 1000's of them, I've got no idea who's good, bad, reliable, or shonky"

....And when you talk with Service Providers about it, you'll find a similar story of mismatched expectations:

  • "I'm a plumber, and I keep getting calls from people who ask me to install their air conditioners - I'm not licensed for that, it's a waste of my time"
  • "I've got a good reputation, and I don't need to travel out of my area, (Melbourne CBD) for work. I lose nearly an hour a day turning jobs down from all over the place"

We started Quotify with the primary goal of improving the customer / supplier relationship and process, one industry at a time. Thus, the name evolved from this desire to help both Consumers and Suppliers "Qualify their Quotes!" Quotify is working hard to be an independent consumer champion by providing customers with 3 free quotes where possible.

We launched our first industry vertical (Pest Control) in September 2006. Next was Security in November 2006, followed by Carpet Cleaning in April 2007.
